Owner of DP Automotive, Denis Poirier went to school to learn automechanics in 1975 for 8 months. Then took electricity and electronics courses. Then electronic injection. With diplomas as proof. Then worked as an apprentice mechanic, then as a heavy equipement mechanic for 5 years.

In 1983, he worked at a rebuilder shop until he started his own business in 1992.
